The time for name calling, thinly veiled racism and misplaced fear of a black president . . . of a black man . . . is over. Gone are the days of political business as usual. Fading to memory are the winks, nudges and sideways glances of the far right FoxNEWS bunch and those closed-minded, deceitful politicos that planted the seeds of doubt about Gore, Kerry, Clinton and O'Bama . . . and any Democrat who dared to reflect the left-of-center stance of this nation of 300 million. Reversed will be the ad hoc policies of war and peace that hitched our nation to the random train of uncertainty at home and abroad.
What will come will be a shining intellect, a genuine understanding, a clear articulation, and a true compassion. What will come will be consensus, collaboration, trust, teamwork, hard work . . . and brains . . . finally. No mavericks. No cowboys.
What will come will be challenges and missteps and criticisms, no doubt. What the result will be is unknown. But we will get there together. For the first time in my generation, we have a collective sense of destiny. We have hope. And, yes, we have fear. I fear those who hate this now proud nation. I fear the faltering economy and the impact on myself and my neighbors. I fear the fanatics on the lunatic fringe who might want to snuff out our hope in a black man's body and turn him into another Lincoln, another Kennedy . . . another Martin Luther King.
But I have a dream. I have a dream that one day there will be a spot, that will not be forgot, that for one brief shining moment, will be known as Camelot. A place where the better angels of our nature will make true the promise of this nation and its promise to her people.
Dreams do come true.
Go dream.
Obama is the one. I don't even think of him as a Black person. Lok how many big name Republicans have endorsed him-race is not even an issue any more. America has elected the best person avialable for the most important job in the world. We should be thankful that we got it right this time. How so many good people could be so wrong twice during the past 8 years blows my mind. Another plus about Obama is the flawless campaign he ran. Millions of volunteers helping in so many different ways and no complaining or leaks (Like spending $150,000 on clothes) All of the Volunteers knew what was a stake and came through one by one, little by little. Eight years of leaders that we (America) and the World will respect and be proud of.

One man's dream is another man's nighmare. For many, it has been eight years of hell...for some, it has been eight generations of hell. For conservatives, Reagan offered a dream to make America great again. For others, Kennedy offered Camelot. Both myths were approached, but never reached. But approaching is better than standing still. And O'Bama is America reaching...at least for 65,000,000 of them.

I am glad to see that America can elect a Black man as President. I conglatulate Obama on a finely run campaign. Please stop with the fairy tale Camelot stuff and the Rodney King BS of "why can't we all just get along". I think the hiker needs to read his own witings on moving on. I am glad that in 75 days I will no longer hear the "slected not elected" phrase as this was the mantra of the left. It's funny how when Democrats win, its "lets put the past behind us" but when they lose its philabuster, philabuster, philabuster. To the victors go the spoils enjoy time in the spotlight again, but its only a matter of time before tide will turn again. Nobody stays in power forever and what goes up always will come back down!

I too hope the extreme mavericks do not take action against this (dare I say it) world hero. It will be a day that will arguably be the worst in American history.
